ALT-HEAVY ROCK TRIO SCAR VISION DROP EPIC DEBUT ALBUM YOU ME UNCERTAINTY

Artwork designed by Mike Charlberg from Salt Design Powerhouse Tāmaki Makaurau band SCAR VISION unveil a beast of a debut album with YOU ME UNCERTAINTY, eight tracks of intense, electrifying energy evocative of a musical fusion between Nick Cave, Deftones and Sisters Of Mercy. Blending industrial post-punk heavy rock and nu/doom-metal, Scar Vision reside in the world of bold sonic tunes combined with deep, smooth vocals, dark, melodic guitars, menacing basslines, and sonorous, driving drums.

A cross-continental alternative rock force, Scar Vision amalgamates raw emotion with industrial edge. Born between the sounds of New Zealand and Holland, the three-piece deliver a cinematic blend of heavy guitars, haunting synths, and driving rhythms – all anchored by front man Antony Waters’ visceral vocal presence and brooding basslines. Drummer Jasper De Roos and guitarist Samuel Moore complete the trio, and for this project Scar Vision engaged renowned Producer Scott Seabright to orchestrate and add his masterfully talents to You Me Uncertainty, all four creating a sound that feels both dystopian and deeply human. Additionally, Kerretta guitarist and Producer David Holmes was also part of the action, bringing his venerable skills into play to co-produce first track ‘For Hire’, and third track‘Ambush’,2Scar Visions’ music explores themes of inner conflict, disillusionment, and survival – never shying away from darkness, but finding power within it. Following the release of six singles, this debut album marks a bold first chapter - unapologetically intense and sonically unfiltered. You Me Uncertainty embodies the bands collective life experience of reviewing, learning and improving to progress with forward momentum – a merging of past and present that offers up a fundamental shift of focus from what went wrong, to how you can make impactful changes to grow your future. Says Ant: “The album title is from lyrics accumulated from this time period, people's expectations through an ever changing lens…’you me uncertainty, I’ve got nothing left to give’…”All seasoned musicians, the powerhouse trio have played in other musical incarnations and on various other creative projects over the years, only to be drawn back to the captivating and visceral realm they collectively create with Scar Vision. As a band we decided to record with Scott, as he understands the sound we’re after and really knows how to get the best out of us. And as an added bonus, he also played synth on our recordings too”, said the band. Incorporating their passion for experimentation and a drive to constantly evolve their sound, Scar Vision draw inspiration from a diverse range of influences, always looking to push the boundaries of their genre and their instruments to create their uniquely captivating sound. More is to come from these highly prolific creatives as they burn the candle at both ends, dropping You Me Uncertainty while simultaneously putting the finishing touches on another collection of cinematic tunes due out later this year, and making a start on an as yet unnamed third album. 2025 is shaping up to be a huge year for Scar Vision,
